Dr. Patrick Singleton has expertise in translational research regarding the regulation of cellular barrier function, tumor growth, and metastasis. He has received national and international recognition for his work regarding hyaluronan-binding proteins and opioid and mu opioid receptor regulation of vascular barrier disruption, angiogenesis, tumor growth, and metastasis.
He is an expert in opioid, cardiovascular, and lung cancer research. His seminal research resulted in over 50 publications, several book chapters, and numerous patents. He received his B.S. in biochemistry, and his Ph.D. in molecular, cell and developmental biology from the University of Miami.
Born in Flatwoods, WV, home of the legendary Flatwoods Monster, he was just hours away from the Mothman sighting in Point Pleasant, WV.
During his time studying his Ph.D. at the University of Miami, he met Douglas Lochmiller, a cryptid researcher, and the founder of the Center For Wilderness Cryptid Studies. He quickly learned that they shared a common bond in cryptid research.
After the recent discovery of sightings of a Bigfoot creature in his Flatwoods, West Virginia birthplace, and surrounding areas, Dr. Singleton became a board member and science advisor for the Center to collect data and scientifically examine these sightings to shed new light on the Bigfoot phenomenon.
